Q1. Do I need a gaming PC?
A1. It works with a Vive compatible PC/laptop having minimum specs of: Processor: Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD FX 8350, equivalent or better Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 480, equivalent or better. Q2. Can this be used with eyeglasses?
A2. Yes. There are knobs on the side (where the side straps come to an end) that can be pulled out and turned to have the front of the headset extend further out to fit eye glasses.
Q3. What happens when you use an inadequate graphics card?
A3. The images in the Vive HMD will become blurred and there will be static. The game or content may stuck while browsing through them or content may not play at all.
Q4. How long is the cord from HTC Vive to PC? And is it easy to get tangled up in?
A4. The headset cable can only extend by around 16 feet (5 meters) from your computer. It can be easily untangled.
Q5. Is this one size fit all?
A5. Yes we have both children and adults use it. The straps are size to fit, the mask is not but it seems to fit everyone from 7 years old to 40 years old.
Q6. Radeon rx 480, 4gb crucial ddr4 8gb ram, and fx 8320e 4.2ghz, ASUS m5a 78l-m, is it capable of using the HTC Vive?
A6. Yes it is capable of using the Vive. The specs mentioned supports Vive. However, it is recommended to check PC compatibility by visiting HTC official Vive Website.
Q7. Are there any decent games yet? Doesn’t have to be full on aaa but just something work playing past one this is neat setting?
A7. Yes there are many good games. One can access Viveport or Steam to find the appropriate games.
Q8. Will the Vive work on a Linux machine? Windows is nothing but trouble for me?
A8. No currently HTC Vive does not support Linux machines.
Q9. If I get this where can I download software and game?
A9. You can download software and games from 2 different platforms/sites. You can ether download if from HTC’s own VR platform – Viveport or from partner VR platform – Steam.

Q11. Will the HTC vive work on a mac?
A11. No, there is no Mac PC powerful enough to play VIVE contents, so you have to buy a Windows machine.
Q12. Can I run this on a pc with an Intel i5 6500 with a GeForce gtx 1050 ti graphics card and 16GB of RAM?
A12. You might have some problems with the GPU, we recommend a GTX 970 or faster GPU and your GTX 1050 Ti is less powerful than a GTX 970. Your CPU is good though.
Q13. Does this work in the Xbox one? If not then what are some things I can use to work it?
A13. No it won’t work with an Xbox. You need a PC.
Q14. Am I able to use just the headset alone without the controllers for games that don’t require controllers?
A14. Yes, absolutely. There are a few games that use a keyboard or mouse, some games even use only the headset to point.
Q15. Are there wireless signals emanating (Bluetooth?) from the headset and can they be turned off and still function?
A15. Yes, you can turn off Bluetooth. When in Steam there is a section for VR settings. You can enable and disable it there.
Q16. Does it have independent eye adjustment?
A16. Its manual, there is a little knob on side to adjust. When you turn it a digital bar pops up in visor to let you know settings.
Q17. Can a longer cable be used between PC and VR headset?
A17. Yes you can order longer cable but the USB cords will need a USB-Ethernet repeater it have to be good one.
Q18. I was wanting to know how long the power cords were for the sensors. Just wanting to know whether they will reach the outlets or not?
A18. The Lighthouse power cable length is 8 feet long or 2.5 meters.
Q19. Is this good for watching movies? Is it in 3d?
A19. Yes you can watch movies, browse the Web, and use your desktop etc. on this. It’s amazing and the controllers make it look like so realistic, because it’s spot on like with your real hands. Like in the game to make it look like your actually touching what you’re looking at.
Q20. Does this come with the new 3 in 1 cable?
A20. Yes, you will get the 3 in 1 cable attached to Vive Headset.
